A Sacred Mantrayana Dharma Robe

In June of the Tibetan Fire Rooster Year, with the large-scale life release of Sika Deer held in ZongXi monastery of Nianlong County, the venerable Rigdzin Gawa Rinpoche made auspicious offerings to the great terma reveler Rigdzin Nyima Rinpoche, praying for him to live long and benefit sentient beings. Rigdzin Nyima Rinpoche was very pleased, he also gave Rigdzin Gawa Rinpoche auspicious items such as Buddha statues, scriptures, Tibetan carpet and pulu in return. In particular, he gave Rinpoche his own yogic mantrayana Dharma robe as a symbol to unfold profound and secret activities in the future.

Mantrayana robe is a special type of clothing belonging to Yogis of Tibetan Buddhism. On one hand it represents their status as lay disciples, and when accessorized with head ornaments and bone ornaments such as Gawu tube, Vajra and Vajrakilaya etc., it will become a unique symbol of the Vidyadhara and accomplished tantric practitioners. As Dharma robe, it may differ in size, length, color, pattern or other details in accordance to the various blood, lineages, empowerments and precepts.

The auspicious mantrayana Dharma robe given by the venerable Rigdzin Nyima Rinpoche to Rigdzin Gawa Rinpoche has pure origin and sacred lineages, it embedded the blessings and expectations from the venerable Rinpoche. May all disciples of Nyingma Urgyen Mahayana Blissful Dharma Continent have pure aspirations to benefit self and others, and attain the state of pure awareness as accomplished yogis with profound wisdom, clarity and freedom.
