The Grand Liberation Palace of Peaceful and Wrathful Deities

In fall 2013, the main part of the the Grand Liberation Palace of Peaceful and Wrathful Deities was finally completed. The construction of this palace is not only the wish of Rigdzin Gawa Rinpoche, but also the dream of all disciples of Nyingma Urgyen Mahayana Blissful Dharma Continent.

In order to propagate the Dharma and benefit sentient beings, Rinpoche has successively built 8 gigantic prayer wheels, 108 stupas and planted many prayer flags from 2005 to 2007. In 2010, as instructed and wished by many of his root teachers, Rinpoche solemnly made an aspiration to build a grand palace made up of Mani Stones, which later turned out to be the Grand Liberation Palace of Peaceful and Wrathful Deities.

The Grand Liberation Palace of Peaceful and Wrathful Deities is constructed with stones that have various forms of carvings and mantras. Inside the palace are a variety of Buddhism ritual items, scriptures, statues, and different sizes of Mani stones carved with the Six-syllable mantra. The exterior and pedestal of the palace are decorated with exquisite stone carvings and scriptures, which represent dedicating all the best things in the world to the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha, as well as wishing auspiciousness and happiness for all sentient beings.

The ground level of the palace has 110 surrounding manual prayer wheels, each about 1 meter high and 60 centimeters wide with a billion mantras inside. Next to them, Rinpoche also built a corridor with more than 20 large prayer wheels installed each of which is also filled with one-hundred million mantras.

In order to make the pilgrims more convenient to visit, prostrate and circumambulate the the palace, Rinpoche has specially maintained and reinforced the banks of the small river in Mount Damchen, he also built a small square in front of the palace with concrete pavement to bring convenience to the incoming worshippers.

A set of hi-fi is also being installed inside the palace, which repeatedly plays the mantra of four-armed Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva sung by Dharma King Jigme Phuntsok all day long, enabling people to receive blessings from the compassionate Dharma King while circumambulating.

Rigdzin Nyima Rinpoche and Dechen Dewyai Dorje Rinpoche, as well as many other great masters in Seda area has all placed blessings over the constructions of these Buddhist facilities in Mount Damchen. It is the blessings from the great masters which helped building of the palace to be successfully completed.

Rigdzin Gawa Rinpoche once said in a teaching: "The completion of the Grand Liberation Palace of Peaceful and Wrathful Deities is not only due to the strength of my aspirations; it is a collective merit coming from the wishes of all our lineage masters and the blessings of the Three Jewels. With strong support from disciples of Nyingma Urgyen Mahayana Blissful Dharma Continent, we have fulfilled our aspirations together. I hope the palace can become a sacred long-lasting Buddhist site, a Mandala that truly grants liberation upon seeing and hearing to unlimited sentient beings.
